The airport is served by three bus lines:
- Line 1X / 1N: Connects the airport with Thessaloniki city center, the new railway station, and KTEL Makedonia (main bus terminal).
- Line 79: Connects the airport with the Eastern Bus Transfer Station (IKEA).
- Line 2X: Connects the airport with the metro transfer station at Nea Elvetia.
The bus terminal is located in the "Arrivals" area, in front of Exit 4 of Terminal 1.
Tickets can be purchased at the terminal from the ticket booth or the automated ticket machines of OSETH.
