How your entry is classified

Syllabus Levels

Levels There are two main groups of competitive ballroom dancing levels:
Syllabus levels: Also known as "closed" levels, they are restricted to a specific list of steps and patterns.
Open levels: Dancers are allowed to choreograph their own steps and patterns, though some dangerous movements like lifts are still prohibited.Knowing the levels is important for both competitors, to sign up for the correct group, and spectators, to better appreciate the dancers' skills.
